Gobble gobble. I’m here. I’m Travis from Ohio. Going into my 6th year hunting turkeys. Killed 4 Toms this far...all with a shotgun. I plan to start out with my dads first gun this year and hopefully knock down a Tom early. If that works out...I will pull out the Elite for the first time on turkeys. I’m excited to try. Season comes in on the 22nd. I’m a part of a little hunting group called Shedding Light Outdoors. I run a podcast called Shedding Light Hunting Stories. We made a fun little pump up video that you can check out if you’d like! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hi guys I’m Robbie from Ohio been hunting for a few years got my first 2 gobblers last year on back to back days one with a bow the other with a gun . I’m on the way to Florida brought my hunting gear just in case I find a good non quota area can’t wait till season comes in at home
That’s Awesome, Travis! Robbie, I’ve always wanted to hunt Florida, but I’ve never tried. I’m Nic. Our season came in March 16th this year. I’ve had the opportunity to go about 5 times this season. With each hunt, I’ve been getting closer and closer with more action. It’s really starting to heat up here only if the weather would cooperate. Season ends April 30th. I’ve been turkey hunting for about 10 years now, and it’s what I live for. I’ve killed birds with a shotgun, but this is the first year that I’m hunting solely with a bow, and I’ve had such a blast, and it’s been a real learning experience! late add on here, hoping to smash some long beards with you fellas! Name's Jack, from Vermont, but hunt New Hampshire as well. So sitting on 4 tags starting May 1 (the next 28 days are going to draggg)! Getting in a lot of scouting though in both states so hoping that'll pay off come time. Been turkey hunting since I was a kid (13/14 years now) but this will be the first year that I'll be bring bring the bow out to punch tags with. Just picked up a new Canon t6i so planning to get some filming done as well if everything rolls right. The ol Samsung just isn't cutting it anymore. Glad to join in and best of luck to everyone!

I just came through Kentucky last weekend from visiting the Ark, and boy, that state has some birds! I saw 60+ turkeys! I know you shouldn’t have trouble at all, sir! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Set up the camera last week in a spot in which I have a plan for opening day. Problem though was I had no pictures to confirm the birds are using this spot to roost. Just last night and this morning that all changed...game on! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just checking in with you guys! Hope everyone had a great weekend! For those who’s season has opened, any luck? I was able to get in the woods Saturday for about 3 hours, but I only heard one gobble from the roost a ways off on private. I had to work the next two days (my off days) because of storms. I still have a few weeks left here in Alabama! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
still sitting around waiting until the first of May to kick it off! Gotten in a lot of scouting that I hope will pay off early for me in VT and NH but we all know how that goes as soon as the season hits. Picking up my new Canon t6i in a few days! Wicked excited to put that to use.
Heading down to camp tomorrow for sat opener in Ky, get pumped Sent from my iPad using Bowhunting.com Forums
802bowlife, that’s awesome! Our season here is running out, and between these storms and work, my season has been dampened by them. Maybe I can close the deal on at least one bird before the 30th. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Had one fly over my head unloaded all three shells, back to camp Sent from my iPad using Bowhunting.com Forums
my Vermont youth hunter smashed his first bird on his first day ever in the turkey woods! See 15 toms that day and didn’t hear a single gobble. Henned up and quiet. Pulled this dude through with a Jake in front and 7 ropers behind it. He passed on the jake leading the pack and hammered a Tom at about 20 yards with his Mossberg 500. Great memory in the woods for sure! We open up Wednesday so I cannot wait to repeat this.
Awesome story! It appears I’ll be coming up empty this year being that today is the last day of AL’s season, and I’m at work. The past few weeks were shot due to church activities, storms and work. It was enjoyable though for sure. Sorry I’m posting a goose egg, but it’s called hunting for a reason. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
