How are they going to exempt you from paying fuel tax? That's collected at the pump. Are you supposed to keep all your gas receipts and at the end of the year file them with your metered usage at the same time you file your income taxes? I am guessing the emissions testing centers will verify your mileage and print you a form to file with your income tax. You know what this really is- a way to keep revenue coming in as more and more cars go electric. You imagine how much money that's going to cost the state? I can't find the actual figure but I did find that in 2015 the IL state legislature diverted $6.8 billion from the total amount of gas tax collected into non-road improvement areas so that tells you the amount collected is in the tens of billions at least. Too many Teslas on the roads is going to kill them on gas tax revenues.

Also my rant After talking to my daughter about the crappy job she will get this summer and how we all have to work them. These jobs teach us the value of an education and skill. Will make you work harder in life so you don't have to work these low end jobs. 1 week later Daughter "Hey Dad I got a job teaching Java this summer for Girls Who Code. I 'll be working 9-4 M-F and making $25.00 an hour." So glad we had the heart to heart about life

Working in a medical school/hospital, I am reasonably confident that the vast majority of baby boomers and the few remaining people of older generations are in such poor health that the majority will die off before all these fears of rising health care costs will be realized. Easiest way to keep healthcare costs down is to spend as little time at doctor's office/hospital as possible. Too few in those generations have this mindset.
Hell no, lol . I am terrible at English. C#, C++, T-SQL, SQL, Python, and Scala are my languages of choice. You make a hell of lot more money mastering these then you do with English
