Apex Gear Covert single-pin vs. Spot Hogg Fast Eddie XL MRT Who has shot them and which do you prefer? Is the Spot Hogg worth twice as much? Thanks guys!
What will you be using it for? hunting, target or both? and what kind of shots are you looking at? Long open fields and blinds or wooded timber with minimal visibility?
I would go with the Fast Eddie XL. With single pin sights there tends to be some play when adjusting the knobs for distance. The Spot Hogg is a time tested and proven company. They make good products and you won't have to worry about the quality being poor. You can also adjust the sight to sit further from your riser which will add precision for those longer shots. If you have the money I would definitely go with the Fast Eddie. Archery in my opinion is 60% confidence, and with the Fast Eddie you will have confidence that your sight is always going perform.
I recently switched from HHA to try the spot hogg fast eddie.. The only thing I can say is that I hate that the coarse adjustment for windage is not dovetailed. Other than that it is a great site.. but that does drive me nuts. Its a small inconvenience and probably doesn't bother most people (not very often you have to use the coarse adjustment) but had I realized this I probably would have stayed with HHA
What are you using the coarse adjustment for so much? Just curious because I wouldn't think you'd have to use it too much, but the more I know the better I will be! Thanks!
It’s a tight spot quiver. Works as well as any quiver iv ever used in all honesty but I just like it because it sits very close to the bow and is very adjustable
I used it when I got it and I used it when I got new strings. (2 times in one year) Both times it drove me nuts. That being said.. its a good site and that is my only complaint
