To state listening to Chuck and Nancy, or any other member of Congress, simply because they are not your district representation is foolish nonsense. The same can be said about state level lawmakers in each state as well. Madigan is not my Rep., but he runs the state regardless.

Chuck and Nancy are the leaders of their respective chambers. Chuck is the minority leader so I listen to less of his rhetoric than I do Nancy's.

Their vision and plans for federal regulation don't just affect their district constituents, it affects the nation as a whole including myself. I listen to the garbage that comes out of AOC's mouth as well, because that is the socialistic ****show that the next generation is trying to implement.

As for the taxes and 2025 thing, meh, that seemed like a goad to get a good Monday morning argument going to start the work week.

2025, what is significant about the end of the program? When does the next president after Trump take office? 2025 that is exactly why that termination date was used.

Funny seems most presidents since Reagan have tweaked the tax code, I guess when you are wearing hatred blinders you just don't see it.

She probably inflated the price of all the drinks, then redistributed her profits to all those people in her district that refused to work.

yeah...if you haven't learned to avoid going home with Crazy Eyes by the end of your second sophomore year; well I can't help you. You'e asking for sugar in your gas tank at that point.

Back in college I, uh, "dated" a girl with eyes like this. After our second, uh, "date"; she bought me a ridiculously expensive watch. Like $500. Then she started talking about, hypothetically, if I was to marry what kind of woman would I marry...kids, etc.

I ran away like a scalded dog. Gave the watch back to her roommate, and basically hid at my buddy's apartment for a month. She still stalked me at parties for months after. She would call the cops on our apartment; just crazy, bat crap crazy stuff.

I hadn't thought about this episode in my life for a long time...then I started seeing pics of AOC. And then VS had to make the "Hand that Rocks the Cradle" reference. And it alllllll comes flooding back.

Thanks VS. I may have to day drink now.

My one a-hole roommate started calling her Stacy...

and it gets better- the next year, we had one new roommate (the other 3 were the same.) New Guy wasn't around for Stacy. I'm sure he'd heard stories but I don't think he'd ever met her.

So it's like the second week into the fall semester; and unbeknownst to me; Stacy comes home with New Guy. Next morning I'm in our shared kitchen/living room with Pantera's "Walk" on blast; prepping for Eggs and Kegs (tradition for home football game Saturdays); and guess who comes down stairs in her underwear? I'm not BSing. She turns off the stereo and says "do you mind, we're trying to sleep." She's in the middle of my living room in her skeezy skivvies telling me to turn off my stereo! I was completely flabbergasted. So she slinks back upstairs and throws me a backwards glance as she turns the corner. Like "this is what you're missing out on" was going through her head.
    Chick was C-R-A-Z-Y

Ironic that "Walk" was on...check out the lyrics

also give me an excuse to link to Pantera 20 years later.

What are your thoughts on Bush's tax code that had an expiration date is well? Was that Trump's fault too?

I don't sit around watching the CSPAN channels, I read articles and a bit of television news.

I'm not obsessed with what they say, as its always the same thing, but with the new talk of taking a step towards socialism it is a reason for concern with so many jumping on board and supporting the absurd new "green deal".

When AOC flat out states on record that it would require government intervention and increasing their power to force it because "we've tried it their way already", then yeah my ears are going to perk up.

Am I worried that it will be implemented this session? Not in the slightest, actually I hope they keep this talk up through early Fall 2019, but as they spew their rhetoric and the up and coming yuppies eat it up, I am worried about 10-15 years down the road when they start putting more and more of the socialites in political seats.

One does not need an excuse to listen to Pantera. I have "Cowboys from Hell" always ready to go.

I had bacterial pneumonia when I was younger and had the upper lobe of my right lung removed because of it! Bad stuff. It can be sneaky, because I didn't feel badly at all, but noticed some blood when I would spit. Best of luck with your little one.

That is scary. His is in the upper lobe of the left lung. Fortunately, they caught it early so it should be completely treatable. I am glad that when we were that children's hospital we insisted on further testing being done after the doctor tried to tell us it was just a bad cold virus. The pediatrician had misdiagnosed it is that the day before.
