I want to see if you guys want to do a thread similar to live from the stand, but for shed hunting. Since it doesn't seem that we will have a contest, this can be a place to post our findings.

Also if you have service we can post ATL pics as we find them live and post pics of the day and keep a running total for each of us.

Let me know what you guys think? I will be posting every thing I find this year in here. Also encourage any and all to post any thing they want about shed hunting for this year!

So far I'm at 6 sheds. I picked all of them so far while hunting this season. I picked up 4 mule deer sheds while hunting on Colorado this year. Also 2 whitetail.[IMG][IMG]

I like this idea a lot! I have 5 sheds so far, since the end of deer season. I will plan on posting up pictures as the winter progresses.

I will post up the 4 muley sheds from this year when I get home from work. One was a 60 inch brown shed!

These are the two I've found so far this year. Found them about few days ago checking trail cams.

Posted them in another thread but if everyine is using this I'll start using this thread.

Nice, my favorite spots are close to businesses like that since the deer feel safe there

Awesome idea for a thread! We've been consistently been getting dumped on with snow here in SW MN so I only made it out one time so far to check out a new area to get a lay of the land. Hopefully will be getting out starting maybe next weekend. Have a trip planned for SD in early March and maybe Nebraska or Iowa for a little family get a way too.

    Good luck everyone!

I got out for a quick 30 minutes a couple nights ago. Mostly just scouting for the deer to make sure they were still in the area. Also the customers house I'm working at right now has 10 acres. So yesterday at lunch she let me walk the property. Found lost of trails and poop, so definitely lot of deer passing thru. But no food source, so probably won't be any sheds and I didn't find any old. Did find a spike dead head that looked to be a long time, feal apart in my hands when I picked it up.

Planning to do my first big hunt this Saturday, going to spot were I saw many bucks that had shed already.

Ha yeah I've been trying to walk new spots but I'm running out of areas and I've been hearing that most bucks are still holding. I hate how long they hold here, I get antsy lol

I'm the same way! I try and locate them now, then go back later. I think the earliest I've picked up a fresh one is usually the 2nd week of February. If I didn't see those bucks last week that shed, I wouldn't be going into this spot yet. I can't wait! I think I have a good idea where they are!
