That movie could not be made now. Richard Prior working with Mell Brooks, amazing.

I went out around 1:30pm to start my truck (very hard start) and let her run for awhile...fast forward until a few minutes ago I realized I never turned it off!!! Thank god I did, wouldve run out of gas sometime overnight and starting a completely dry engine in this weather does not sound like a winning proposition.

Mine are only going out long enough to do their business and then right back in. Usually they are good to go for a couple hours in temps down to the teens.

I said the same thing in the movie/TV gifs thread earlier. Honestly, I don't even know if they can show it on TV any more. I still say that's the funniest movie of all time.

Yes they did, we really don’t want to go that route if we don’t have to. Gonna ask them about reimbursement for all the extra electric use, I won’t hold my breath but it doesn’t hurt to try.

So now Virginia joins the ranks and the bill sponsor openly admits that the bill would allow a woman who is in labor to still opt for abortion.

I don't think this is a women's right "movement" or whatever the hell they want to call it.

I am starting to believe that this new wave of absurdness is nothing more than a Democratic tactic. A ploy for them to make their "preminitons of the Trump presidency" to come to reality and Roe vs. Wade will be overturned. They will then use that as their number one campaign talking point during the 2020 election.

They are becoming so demonic in their views and ideologies that they are conflicting with their own talking points.

ICE and Border Patrol are monsters because they separate children from their families, but you are a caring mother if you choose to kill your fully developed human baby, it's your choice. Yet babies birthed within the US illegally were not given a choice and should be given everything because they didn't get to choose where they were born.

Not having a child, I never really voiced opinion on abortions. Kind of like the "Didn't vote then don't *****" mantra, but this takes it to a whole new level.

If you support something like this I would love to ask you a few questions.

    BIG GRIPE!!!!!

As a self employed contractor, I get routinely asked if I will give a customer a discount for cash. I used to regularly do that but I have gotten away from doing that.

I felt sorry for a customer this year that had a pipe break and their insurance didn't cover half of the damages so since it was a large repair job, I felt sorry for them and agreed to a 10% discount for cash.

Today I get a 1099 in the mail with a note saying how sorry they were for sending me the 1099 but their accountant said that without doing that they would have to pay additional taxes!!!!!!!!

Well HELLO!!!!! Somebody has to pay the tax and that was why you got a $3500 break!

So much for trying to help someone out!!!!!

I gave them copies of material receipts and labor weekly that they wrote personal checks to me for.

That’s unfortunate you got the 1099.

I think a lot of people don’t understand what the discount for cash means lol

Feel your pain. I'm a self employed for 12 years now. It gets old explaining to them the difference between cash and writing a check with my name on it.

You know, I hate to even say it but.. no good deed goes unpunished. It seems like every time you "discount" a contract or bid for a customer it will always bite you in the ass. I quit giving discounts and it may cost me a little business here and there but its saved me on a few headaches I'm sure. And when they say "The other guy bid it for less." I just ask them why they are still talking to me and my bid is for quality work. And if they dont like that they're not worth having as a customer.
