    I can't keep out of the woods. Gotta get at least one weekend in September and 1-2 in October. Just to get the kinks out if nothing else.
    And seeing all the success the TPH guys had in early season...makes me disbelieve in the October Lull.

    3 more days and i will be out for the last weekend of the season in Jersey, High hopes on this public land there were a lot of beat down trails and sign all over the place... its gonna be a little chilly out but well worth it! Good luck to anyone who is still out!

    Worked hard for this spot today. Walked for 2 hrs before I found this spot. Probably have walked close to 20 miles on this new public piece this January...first time I've found a mountain laurel ridge. As soon as I saw it from the river bottom I knew I'd get onto some good sign. Wedged into on high ground and a river. They will move through here.

    Sad day when gotta take all hunting gear out of truck. Few days overdue but have had bow and all my gear in there since least middle or Oct. Plus size is there's so much more room in my truck seat now ha. [​IMG]

    It's pouring rain all day here and temps are almost 60 degrees. Suppose to have a big drop in temp tomorrow. So I think I will do my 5th sit tomorrow evening for that buck. It might be my last chance. Feel pretty confident that I will take him on my next sit, just need some really cold temps!

    Nope, way to warm. The two times I didn't see them it was above freezing. Tomorrow is going to be perfect! I kind of hope he does shed out. Then I can find his sheds and shoot him next year!

    I couldn't locate the thread regarding antler drop, but on Wed I saw a group of 4 bucks on a property next to where we were working, and they all still had both antlers. Two of them would be shooters in my woods.
