I just got the skull back from my 2018 shotgun buck and boy does it stink. The taxidermist I took it to uses beatles. What can I do to help get the stink out of it? Should I soak it in peroxide for awhile or maybe a mix of dawn dish soap then peroxide soak?
He actually did it for free so I am not going to ask him to do any extra work. He needed something to feed his bugs because he was getting low on skulls.
Heat up water with the old skunk mix, dawn HP and baking soda no need to boil just get it close and let it soak for a fe hours.
get some 40 part peroxide from your closest beauty supply store. Dump the bottle into all the crevices, let it drip. scoop up the drippings the next day and reapply. 24 hours the smell will be gone.
I do have a scent crusher. I might have to try this. Although I imagine if there is in fact some tissue left in the skull some place it may not do much.
Deer flesh rotting then parasites squirting mucus on decaying flesh and defecating on it...no idea why it might smell. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
