I might venture into videoing my hunts or checking the trapline. I could do a video on scouting and I do have an observation stand set up. My goal is nothing younger than 3-1/2 years old, but I will not hunt for the camera, I hunt for me and to celebrate my dominance over rodents.

In 25-30 years I hope that I am beginning a long run of becoming a codgery old man. Sota will be my role model. I have decided that on the weekends I am going let my older boys start shooting the squirrels on the bird feeder with the Gamo. My oldest missed one this past Saturday, but it gave the squirrel a good enough scare to stay off the feeder for the rest of the day.
Problem much like the dogs are trained the squirrels are too. I can not get out the back door without the squirrels bolting. I do have a gamo whisper with a stop and a hair trigger but deploying is problematic.
I start looking for windows in other rooms that will provide a safe line of fire. Its a lot easier when the squirrels are out back instead of in the front, facing the street.
I am lucky and street is a 1/2 mile away. I have plastic over the windows facing the feeder will have to wait till spring.
Yeah I picked them up and got them out of the box. I did not deploy the traps yet by the time I fed the deer and brought firewood in was getting dark. I will set the traps Friday it is supposed to warm up. I do like the squirrel tosser catapult but I would prefer to yell pull and try to shoot the squirrel in the air like a gentleman rather than ground swatting them.
how does that fat dog catch squirrels? Mine is pretty fast and he's only gotten a couple. Not for lack of trying.
