I had the same issue at our old house in NY. They would destroy my garden every year. I finally bought myself a Gamo Whisper and managed to kill like 80 of them one year without any of the neighbors knowing. All I did was open the window next to the kitchen table and sit there for 20 minutes each morning while I was eating breakfast and shoot every squirrel that I saw. After about a month they started to thin out pretty good. Anything under 30 yards was toast, and it would kill about half the ones I shot at out to 40 or so.
I've been catching reds and greys in live traps around the house. It doesn't kill them but nothing says they have to come out alive.
Its an easy job to reblue a barrel DIY. Lots of resources on line. I used to make some money doing reblueing jobs when I was in middle or high school.
I have it! Could get a bit messy but I'm thinking it could work. Just wrap this around the tree. Not going to kill them but you could do that dirty work. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Yeah every night when I go up to the barn to pick the horse stalls Shart will go in the clean stall and lay down a crap that would gag a buzzard.
Is the surplus getting sold after the coats made or is your wife not interested in squirrel fur? Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
