LOL! That reminds me of one time I was doing an all day hunt in Illinois. I was in the climber, 25 feet up, went to grab some layers out of my backpack and all my food fell to the ground. This was before sunrise. No worries I thought. Around 11 I’ll climb down and grab them. 11 AM rolled around I reluctantly climb down, and find that a squirrel or field mouse had found my sandwich bags full of food ate through the plastic and started eating my food. That was a long day!

I had a neighbor like that. I just let them know that I trap coyotes and Bobcats. Explained and demonstrated how a leg hold trap works and that it would not injure the dog but when the coyotes or a bobcat found said dog in a trap they will devour it. Well, that and I found where the dog was going through the fence and dumped a pound of cayenne on the ground.

I woke up, middle of the night, with one of those cramps in my hamstring that nearly had me screaming. Holy crap, what pain.
It’s nice to have the pressure off though. I slept in today, I’m gonna load up the truck and head 2 hours south to another property that I have all to myself for the next four days. It’s big buck or bust!

I have been know to ruin a good deer hunt at first light on a coyote. Happens every time I get the chance.

Been steady movement for me. I was thinking about moving for the afternoon but now I’m not so sure.
