Heading to my river bottom lease this morning. The river is flooding right now so I may be limited to stand choice but I need to get over there and try for this guy. I have had him on camera for three years.

I need to get him killed before he dies of old age! lol

Great buck, thanks for telling the story. I understand what you went through. Years ago when I was really young I did the same thing but....I only had 4 arrows and missed all 3 following the initial shot. I then had to get within a foot of this deer thrashing everywhere to get back another arrow to finish him. Not fun.
Hunting is not pretty but Mother Nature is far more cruel sometimes.

I'm up! 30 minutes to first light. Just had a deer blowing and run thru woods. Up wind, but I may have bumped it on the way in. At least I know deer are around.

Good luck guys, this is the day!

Well I'm here in the parking spot listening to the pouring rain. Good Lord is it ever going to end. It's rained for an entire month give or take a day or two. I'm planning to hunt all day so I don't want to get wet now and I'm too far from home to get dried out. So I guess I'll wait and head in once it lets up. Hopefully soon!

The edge is the boot fabric rolled up. Reach in and tear it off. My mucks do the same thing. I try not to wear those kind of boots unless I have to. They aren't built very good anymore. I can't even get a year out of my mucks. Heck when I was younger I could get 5 or more yrs out of my burlys. Not now. Chinese made. I just recently bought some danner boots and love them.
