Only reason I’m debating the swamp vs cut corn is because the does flock to the corn. But think I’ve decided on the swamp.

Last minute decision to hit a spot at my buddies. Beans are gone and the deer are hitting the food plot. Itll be a short hunt and super easy access. Doe only tho. Come on November 10!

You ever hunt the stretches of trees connecting the woodlots?

I have 1 dislike, from Kurveball. Apparently, he didn't like my blue/white umbrella idea.

A ton of beds along the wood line but it doesn’t seem like they use them as travel corridors.

Think I’m going to hunt the swamp again.

I don't know where to sit tomorrow. Never killed a buck/deer stand as I haven't sat it a lot, 2017 buck stand or 2016 buck stand. The agonies of vacation

I have had this cough for more than a year. Will be one year of seeing an MD Nov 29 and still have it. Gotta get a referral to see a specialist.

Care to treat me long distance?

I have an idea but it may be a bit too close to the tree. How about using a rope on tree step? Either use the rope or cut it off and use a strap.

Or taking a piece of "erector set" angle iron (the angle iron that has holes in it-sort of like bracing used on garage door openers). Drill a center hole to mount the bow holder then weld 1/2" washer at the end for the strap?

Generally when this happens I let the walk in dictate things. If I bump anything walking in hit the closest stand. Plus if anyone else is hunting, which is less likely on weekdays, it creates on conundrum as well.

Thinking about hitting the 2016 stand as it has the best early movement. Usually have deer moving through before light but with all the leaves still on probably take a little longer to get to shooting light.

Wet dreary day today should make for a quiet entry with leaves coming down, should be calm winds for the first couple hours.

The lung doc said I have a cough. One children’s Claritin keeps whatever little allergy I have at bay.
I’ll send the bill later ;-)

Simple, if you can weld take the part that mounts to a tree off of a stand and weld a bow holder to that the get you a ratchet strap and voila you got a strap style bow holder. Or simple screw the bow holder on with good self tappers.
