Just had two 2.5 8’s chasing a doe right thru the food plot. Need one to live badly as he already has split brows and stickers developing! Hopefully his broken beam keeps people not wanting to kill him

I'd carry a soccerball filled with catnip.

Only seen one from stand, or in my life for that matter. Was a pretty cool experience.

I had a really scary cool encounter last year. I hike a trail that follows a hedgerow into my hunting spot, but from the car I could see a glow of eyes up in one of the trees next to the trail. Figured it was an owl...wrong. A big kitty perched above your head at 5am is a bit uncomfortable.

I've never seen one in my neck of the woods. I'd probably Sh!t my pants if I saw one

A few years ago I was walking a bend in the bottoms, coyotes are mad thick here. Had my headlamp on red light and heard something just in the woods to my right. Looked that way and see a pair of eyes about 3' off the ground. Took a step and they moved to 4' and then 5'. My mind started racing with all of the bump in the night things and I reached into my pocket for the flashlight. Turned on and lit them eyes up, was a damned Raccoon on the side of a tree. Was probably on the trail ahead of me and heard me coming and cut into the woods.

The mind can be a convincing thing at 5 in the morning

Absolutely zero deer on my sit. Really co fused as there are white oaks all around me and I'm only 350yards up Ridge from a heavily used creek bottom.

Decided to sit in a ground blind because of strong winds and scattered showeres. 4:30 a lone doe comes in giving me an easy 20 yard broadside shot deer only ran 10 yards and stoped. Watched it stand there and flicker it’s tail for a few seconds then move behind a deadfall. Thought she was down. 5 minutes later see her slowly walking off. Waited 30 minutes to check the spot where I shot and arrow is full of guts. No clue how I screwed that up. Not sure how long I should give her. Don’t want to push her but also don’t want to lose her to coyotes.

Long post but since we're sharing bobcat stories. Two years ago I was walking in to my stand, pitch black morning but there's a factory that casts quite a bit of light into the woods so I don't bring a flashlight. All of a sudden, I hear running and a buck grunting coming at me so I freeze. A hot doe comes by me at a full run followed by a fork horn that stops less than 5 yards away and no care that I'm there. As they run off, I hear more walking and I assume it's another deer. The sound is getting super close and out from behind an oak tree pops this bobcat at less than 3 paces. It makes it into my trail at less than 6 feet away before it sees me and freezes. I take a step back and it starts making that pissed off cat noise, almost made me jump out of my boots. It just turned and walked away snarling the whole time while I stood there being happy that I still had clean pants.
