Been trying to he just stays busy. He's a youth pastor and works a full time job as a lineman for Georgia power and also really puts his time in on hunting.

I've been seeing bucks on hoof about 40 minutes before sunset in my part of MO. Nothing mid day on camera. Hope you get one!

    4 sunrises without hunting left.

Trying not to jinx myself by getting over confident. This is the first year I have not hunted a day in October. Things are about to get crazy in this thread

not just a southern thing- head to central WI and go north or about anywhere in MI north, west, or southwest of Lansing and it's better beach sand than pretty much the entire east coast. Not talking just lakeside, I mean everywhere.

Or you can just check the floorboards of my truck from October on...stuff gets everywhere.

I made a bad shot last night on a buck. While that was a mistake, I didn't compound it after the shot. I shot the buck in the intestines at 715. I sat in the stand until 820 and checked the arrow-confirmed my thought. At 1015, we checked to road for blood to see if he had crossed. We didn't find any sign. The road is 170 yards from where I shot him. It was going to rain all morning, so wanted to know if he crossed. With the shot, I figured it would be a search job, not a track job. At 10 this morning we started looking. We eliminated areas and started looking in the corn. Thank you Lord...found him 150 yards from the shot. 20181028_113314.jpg 20181028_113325.jpg 20181028_113314.jpg

Headed out to the stand. Back was to stiff to get in this AM but with heating and stretching I'm headed in now. Really wanna tag my first public deer this weekend. Buck or doe. Will update after the hunt as I have no service.
