There's gotta be some public land around there that you could disappear on for a couple hours

Must have jerked the trigger. Arrow had clean blood on it but was mostly dry. Hair at impact sight but it was white with some brown. Found a little blood at first then a lot, and steady. Was 3 hours since I'd shot so was feeling pretty confident I had a dead deer with the amount of blood I was seeing, however it wasnt lung blood. I had obligations this evening so I pushed forward. Arrow smelled good, definitely wasn't gut. Then, I started finding beds, 3 within 30 yards, and large blood clots. I pushed another 40 yards then I saw her, on her feet. Ive learned this lesson before and dont know why I pushed her. Over confidence maybe. She jumped and ran, didnt appear to be in terrible shape. I backed out. I felt confident about my shot but evidence doesnt lie I guess. I think I hit her low and shes gonna survive with a flesh wound. Overall I tracked her maybe 400 yards, she jumped 2 creeks and climbed numerous hills. I'm gonna hunt the same area in the morning and will pick up where I left off. Not the update I wanted to give but, we live and learn I guess. Hopefully I'll find her tomorrow

Which is a rarity for me, debating whether or not to hunt this afternoon. Have a small suburban piece but I'm worn out from last nights craziness at work. Spent an hour shooting today to keep my form up to par.

Drinking a cup of coffee now...hunt or chill? Lol
