Well guys went out this morning and afternoon. Had good sets. Didn't have good enough signal to post. Seen few does and fawn this morning. This evening seen 2 does and small basket 6. He was already chasing. Seems early but I'm liking it. Got caught up watching buck so didn't take one of the does. Roll Tide Roll
Glad you were able to make it out Josh. Sounds like you had a couple good sits. I typically see some chasing of does around this time. I think its just some flirting. I agree its great to see. I'm hoping I can get my buck decoy out soon. Things are going to get really interesting very soon.
Headed out again tomorrow after work. Got out last night and had another good sit seeing 8 deer but still nothing giving me a shot. Had a mom and 2 little ones walk by feeding in acorns just out of range and had 2 small bucks come on same trail as does at last light. One was a spike that I keep seeing the other I believe was a 6 point. Not huge horns but big deer. Very tempting but still out of range. Starting to get a little anxious. Usually I have something down by now. I might sit all day Saturday at a stand that has been deadly in past seasons. Haven’t been in it yet this year but might give it a shot then save it for the rut. I’ll be headed out tomorrow with my .308 and my mom with her bow for the youth hunt. Hopefully I’ll be able to drop a doe for the frezzer. If I can’t fill it up then on some tribal land then I’ll go out where I’ve got those big bucks and drop one of the does that are eating from my corn at all hours of the day! Sounds like you are having some good sits Happy. I have an uneasy feeling about my season too. They were suppose to drill a well on the property weeks ago but no work has begun. Well guys didn't get out today and doubt will get out tomorrow. Been working on house. Got a lot done today. I'm hoping I'm playing my cards right, I hoping to get most done now so free for rut. Only been out twice so far this month, but best to come. Did seen 8 deer, does and fawns out kitchen window today. They were all coming down logging road where I have a stand. Great looking bucks guys ! Sorry about my lack of posting but I’m still here. Almost sealed the deal on a 135” 9 point Sunday morning. Had him at 20 yards twice but didn’t get an arrow flung. I’m committed to getting it on film. The first time I could see him fine, broadside but the camera was looking through leaves. That was my third hunt of the season. 5 bucks that morning and 4-5 Does. Looking forward to the weekend.

Well only been 4 times and only seen 3 deer. Had a 4 pt in spitting distance one night, just not what I was looking for. Headed to Ohio Wednesday for the next ten days. Usually see plenty there.
Good deal, I admire your discipline. Hopefully your patience is rewarded soon. No doubt, I have been to lazy to even take my camera. Hopefully I'll snap out of it when I'm on vacation. Speaking of vacation, mine starts next Wednesday. I went out to the lease today and they were taking the corn down. I figured I would take advantage of all the ruckus and pull couple cards. Things are looking a little better and now that the corn is down it will only get better. Good luck in OH!

I’ll finally be able to start hunting abit harder when my parents get back from Knoxville Monday morning! I should be able to get out at the end of this week and refresh the corn pile, pull sd cards and cut some branches that are preventing me from shooting from my tree stand and then I’ll be ready for my mom to sit in the blind and me in the stand Tuesday morning!
