Here she is! She teased me for an hour and a half. Came out early with another doe feeding in beans at about 50 yards for 30 minutes, one bedded down right in the beans she went and bedded under an evergreen at 75 yards for another 30 minutes. Then both started feeding again for 30 minutes, finally worked in to 25 yards right in a shooting lane. 20181017_194227.jpeg 20181017_193923.jpeg

Well guys, I've been fairly absent from the forum due to no internet at my house and no cell service. About the only time I can get on the forum is at work or in a stand. Lol (Or driving but I've heard that's frowned upon?) Anyway, I haven't got a chance to get out since my Ky hunt, but I think I might take my 5 year old out to a stand by the house to see if we can put down a doe this Friday. As far as bucks go, I really don't have anything that gets me really excited. I have a couple possible candidates but nothing of any real size.
I have two more weekends of coaching soccer then I should be freed up to get in the woods a lot more! That will be right around the first weekend in November!
Glad to see that we are already on the board with a few does! That's a heck of a start. Would love to add to the total this weekend!

Here is one of my bucks that may be a shooter. Don't think hes real old but he kinda has something funky going on with his left side and don't know if he will turn into anything in the next year or too. Not a bad buck by any means though.

This one is probably going to be my target buck. He is 5 1/2 and hasn't grown but maybe 5 inches in two years. He has an very symmetric rack and I really love how dark his rack is. Hopefully he will give me an opportunity to harvest him!

That's a solid 8! Like the dark chocolate rack! Good luck, hope you get an opportunity to harvest him!

Nice score on the doe!! Seems like the deer are really on beans heavy right now. Trouble is I don't have any on the spots I hunt. Doh!

Passed up a dandy 2 year old last night - probably 115" or so. He read the script and did exactly what I wanted, just wasn't quite big enough. Seems like the big boys are still holding tight for the most part.

Thanks Justin. Yeah, beans seem to be the ticket around here right now. Alot of standing beans because of all the rain and flooding wev'e had. these does were on their feet about 4:30! But I think you're right the big boys are holding pretty tight yet. Won't be long tho! Freezer taken care of now on to our Wisconsin property for the rut!!

I process my own. I love doing it and have the added benefit to make toast and steaks out is the meat I want and then save some for jerky and then ground all else. Best way to do it for me.

Pretty sad weekend for me - saw a few does and one scrub buck on public. Hunted my lease last night and saw a 100" 2 year old about 150 yards out.

Hoping the bigger buck action picks up this week. All my big buck photos are still at night.

I saw your Instagram stuff over the weekend, you did not look like you were going to leave that truck :)

I took my wife away for the weekend for to celebrate our anniversary and now I will become an absentee husband and father for the next few weeks (kinda). I have yet to see a buck of any kind on the stand this year. My trail cameras have been pretty slow this year, I only have a picture of one shooter so far which I hope changes when I pull the cards this weekend.

This weekend will mark the beginning of my serious hunting, had a friend text me last night and he had a little 6pt chasing does all round his stand last night.

    Good luck team

Nothing much going on last night on stand. Two does and one fawn. Picking beans right beside us. They were picking right in my sons lap for the last hour of daylight! Did have one of the does at 15 yards broadside! On the positive side pulled cards and have some great bucks on camera. One of the biggest on the property in the middle of the day within the last three days! Come on cold front!! Good luck everybody, gonna start getting good!!
