    Work today maybe tomorrow? Got out last night. To a big community scrape. No dice on that hunt. But did get to watch a nice 10 chase a group of 8 does for about an hour yesterday at work. Things are starting to come to life here in central Illinois. Good luck to everyone who is out.

    Also had some big big things happen this week. Had to put a ring on my biggest success to date. Think she’s the one to be the biggest pain in my *** the rest of my life. I’m kidding of course.

    One of the best sits I’ve had in a long time!!!
    The worst tree turned out to be the best lol seen 14 deer ,10 of which were within 20 yrds. Shot first doe at first light then rest came funneling in. 4 bucks out of the 14. 3 of the bucks were within25yrds. Hug by bow for over an hr because I was covered up with deer.
    Lol the tree is so small that it moves when I do. And has vines all over. Provides great cover. Had a basket 8 within 15 yrds for 30 mins.

    I won't be out again until next weekend. My wife heads out this afternoon for a girls weekend. Sucks that I am missing this cold front, but I owe her after being gone on an elk hunt last month. So here is the plan for the rest of you.

    Seriously, deer better die this weekend so those of us on the sidelines can live vicariously.

    4 hours...4 hours and I'll be on my way to Illinois for some public land hunting. My friends' dad that lives local says there have been no less than 20 deer in the fields in the evening. I should be in a stand not later than 3 pm. I haven't been this excited since the opening day of turkey season. I love seeing those huge Illinois doe and bucks. I have every intention of dropping $100 on doe tags this weekend; at $20, why not.

    Well, not much so far. Had a deer blow about 40 yards from me early on. Wind was blowing right to her. I’m gonna have a little snack and do some still hunting for a couple hours. Then it’s back to the grindstone.
