So I recently bought new arrows (Gold Tip Hunter Pro) as well as lighted nocks for them (GT). My problem is that the arrows have brass inserts in them (nock end) and the lighted nocks won't fit!
Do I need to take these out? Or is there a different size for the pros?
    Thanks for the help.

Yep inserts are out. I don’t remember the brand or size but there was a couple trips to the bow shop to get it right. Sorry I don’t have more info for you.

Your best bet is to remove those bushings and use a standard diameter (0.246") lighted nock. The GTO bushings reduce the size of the nock down to 0.166" which is pretty difficult to find a lighted nock that works with any sort of consistency at that size.

I shoot the same arrow and after purchasing some nockturnals with inserts I went back to my standard non lighted nock. Groupings were inconsistent.

Thanks for the info. What is the best way to remove the bushing? Can you just pull them out? Or are they glued in?

Wow! This is not very encouraging...maybe I should have just stayed with my Cabela's Stalker Extremes.

If you don’t have inserts in then insert a drill bit inside the shaft and rock it back and forth. They’ll pop out I have to do the same thing in the shop as most will buy bohning double click nock

Size G nockturnals work. Very annoying though every body always says GT but they started putting those protectors on and now there size G.

I went down that path a year ago with .166 shafts. The G nocks are not only inconsistent in function, but small enough they didn't show up well in anything other than low light. Plus they were pretty flimsy.

What color nocks were you using in Size G? Because I am about to go down this same path. Hoping they corrected this in the past year and made them better! What type of inconsistencies were you experiencing also?
