I want to start out by saying good luck to everyone this morning and on the upcoming hunts! And also sorry for this long read! Yesterday afternoon was an eventful one, mid day I went to a very thick but fairly small 30 acre farm to check cameras and change out batteries before I head to Missouri on Sunday for a week long public land adventure. I use my quad to access this farm because it is very hilly terrain. This small farm is holding three very impressive deer for my area and they are named uno, dos, and tres. As I got to the top of the ridge where I carved out a food plot and have a ground blind situated I bumped uno (pictured below) he was bedded 20 yards from my blind and did not kick out until the quad was a mere 5 yards from him . Watched him trot about 50 yards and then he just slowly walked off so right then I said I have to go after him tonight knowing that the direction he was going he either had to bed back down or sneak out the back door and cross a corn field that is 500 yards long. So around 4:30 I climbed into a stand along the edge of that back corn field with a just off wind in hopes that he would come by. Well I sat there until there was about 10-15 minutes of light left and climbed down to scan the field before total darkness, low and behold there he was 100 yards into the field walking straight away from me. I tried to call to him but the wind was just to gusty for him to hear anything. Close but no cigar! I am done in Michigan until I come back from my Missouri trip which will give my farms a nice week and a half break. Image1539778740.072702.jpg

Shoot that’s dos. This is uno he is the most regular, predictable and visible deer on the farm. Image1539778887.056332.jpg Image1539778913.009722.jpg

My Ohio trip is not planned until November. But this guy has been by my stand site the last three days, once in the daylight. I'm thinking about try to pop over there for a few days, it's a three hour drive, just because he seems to be coming around kinda regular. What do you all think.[IMG][IMG][IMG]
