Tonight I let a fork horn walk at 5 yards then again about 15 minutes later let him walk again at about 30. I want to break the seal and the jinx but not that bad. Got him on the go pro haven't watched the footage yet but he was so close I could hear him snuffling the ground.

Normally, I would completely agree you you. However, this river bottom and the ridge are almost three miles apart at the opposite ends of the public piece. The piece is split in half by interstate with the river bottom being to the SW and ridge to the NE.

I had a 2.5yo 8 chase a doe past me Friday AM. Thought it may have been coincidental but several on here commented they saw similar.

Was a good night.. had some does pass by just out of range then some come in just after shooting light. Love being in a good spot even if I leave with all my arrows.

Sorry, the pic I posted was the deer my nephew shot yesterday. Here is mine. 1.5 year old doe. Pleased with the shot...would have a better trail if shot was 3 inches lower. 20339.jpeg

So the smell that I thought was my buck nearby...was a dead fawn 10 yards behind the blind. 20181014_173112.jpg

well I had the worst day in my hunting career today. I found out that the timber company property I've hunted for 20+ yrs is now having the gates left open so hunters can drive in and go wherever they want. I've walked in over 2 miles to hunt every year and now lazy hunters can drive all the way in at ease. first the crossguns now letting them drive all over the countryside! what's next? what happened to hunters actually applying themselves. they are getting lazier and lazier! so tomorrow I am heading in and pulling three of my stands in fear of them getting stolen. used to be I could leave them in all season with no worries. today was the first time in my almost 30 years of hunting that I questioned " Is this worth it anymore?". not sure what to do now? rant over!

That's a real shame! You put your time in finding the more secluded/productive areas, and that happens. Sucks.

Sounds like you need to wage guerrilla warfare on these infidel invaders!
