    about to head out here in 15 min from work. Front just pushed through here in texas, so I am taking full advantage of the north winds today before they switch out of the south again tomorrow. Hopefully a kill happens tonight!

    Been here for about an hour now, .temps have dropped from 74 to now 62 within last 2 hrs


    I moved north about 60-70 yards, keeping my fingers crossed

    We normally just hunt from helicopters with guided missiles, but trying something new this year. :biggrin:

    I am in! Got in around 3:15 36* with a 10-15 mph west wind hitting me right in the face, it is a killing kind of night! Back in the ground blind that I shot my doe out of last Thursday. One of the big 10s has been on camera 2 out of the last 4 night but it’s been at 10pm. Hoping this weather has him on his feet bright and early today!

    Opted for date night... Wife started fall break. Called and told her I would take her to dinner & to see A Star is Born if she wanted - she said, “you would want to do that”... lmao

    Should clear the way for plenty of time in the tree this weekend. It was a strategy play in more ways than one.

    All set up on this new farm. I picked this tree because it overlooks the intersection of two major trails and is 25 yards from the field edge.

    What I couldn't have known then was there is a hole in the canopy and at 4:00 pm the sun is right in the middle of it.

    I'm gonna cook for about 30 more minutes and then we will see what this spot produces.
