This morning was a total bust. All I saw was a couple of raccoons and a ton of squirrels.

I was surprised by the lack of movement.

This afternoon my brother and I will do our first sit on a new 240 acre farm here in Kentucky. We just got permission to hunt it three days ago.

I've already hung a stand in it and we'll see how it goes later today.

Well I'm out. Absolutely nothing but squirrels moving this morning. I really thought with the big change in the weather, they would be moving.

This is what I'm working with. Muddy stick that I moved the steps to the end of stick and added 1 step aider. Tryed the movable aider, and wasn't a fan.

Some reason it won't let me upload the photo now! I will try again in a little bit.

Just got home and put this together. Gotta try it on the sticks but I like it so far. Gonna be using it with cut down 22” LW sticks with 2 steps.[IMG][IMG][IMG]

dad got up to MI deer camp this AM- said the little pocket clearing where we stick the camper is darn near flooded out. I'm probably going to have to change things up; from camp site to where I was planning to hunt. If it's that wet on the higher part; the swamp is going to be waist deep at least. It's a mile+ hike into the oaks...ugh.

It’s gonna be coming up the tree with me as I climb. So if you can imagine once I get on that first stick I will pull that off the top of the stick, climb to the top of said stick, and place at the top of next stick and so on. I plan to do this with 22” LW sticks or eliminate 1 whole stick and use just 3. This along with rope mod will save me pounds.

Here's a couple early season stand pics from Eastern Nebraska. Top was last week, and the bottom pic was late September. Pretty good deer movement so far in both these stands on the same 160 acre property. These two are probably 1/4 mile apart on the north and south ends of the property.
