Many of us get WAY too excited or simply rush it or just don't know how to properly do it. This post is not a blast or attack on anyone but an encouragement to do the following: -Watch scoring videos...helps tremendously. -Go slow and take time, never trust that first score. -Put the first scores aside and not visible...do the whole thing a second time and start with the opposite antler you did the first time. Compare once done with first one...any glaring issues...figure out why. -Most official scorers are a free service, find one and have them do it....many taxidermists are scorers with tons of experience...take advantage of em. -Eyeball other known scores of deer you trust...if your 145 looks smaller than that 132 you know was officially scored...something may be wrong. *Scores don't mean anything to why many of harvest, myself included...but once harvested we should desire an accurate score. Yup! I also had an old thread with photos for the eye test but it is quite old and I cannot locate any longer.
You guys are way off. Using the BH.com 2018 deer contest method. My pecker is now 14". Screw you guys and your honesty lol
