Hey everyone! I am looking at getting a new pair of rubber boots (muck boots, lacrosse, etc.). Just wondering what everyone has had success with, best boots for all season use, etc. I have some Danners for general hunting, but like to have some good rubber boots for wet areas, and to reduce scent. Look forward to hearing your reviews, suggestions, tips, etc.!
I bought a pair of Muck Arctic Pros, thinking they would be a great cold weather boot. I was wrong, they are not much warmer than any other boot I've tried. So they are now just my "regular" hunting boot. They are a comfortable and well made boot though. Also, a little pricey.
I have been wearing Lacrosse for years with no plan of changing. Straight forward rubber boots that last.
Great thread. I have the same question. Also insulated vs on and don’t ur feet get hot? Change socks when u get to the stand?

In cold weather I have a pair of Lacrosse insulated rubber boots that work very well, but in early season I always wear Tingley ultra lightweight boots. When the weather is hot and I'm carrying and using a climber stand there's nothing nicer than these boots. They are so light it feels like you're wearing a pair of crocks. I've owned a pile of LaCrosse rubber boots and my favorite remains the AlphaBurly Pro. Many miles walked in those boots with zero issues. They're very comfortable and have held up well for me. Second place would be the AeroHeads.

Muck snake boots. Beyond comfortable and they are my year round boot, because I've seen snakes crawling on sunny December afternoons even after a morning frost. They run a bit snug. I have calves like a deer, so snug's a plus, but if you have thick ankles and calves, you might need vaseline and a shoe horn to get them off. I have a set of Lacrosse AeroHead 3.5, comfy boot but not up to keeping my toes warm in the cold. Good mid-season/early fall turkey boot. I now have a set of field and stream 1000gr boots and artic shield boot covers, I have not had a chance to test the artic shields, but the F&S boots are comfortable, but toes still get cold. My feet are whiney little b's in the winter though. I want a pair of Alpha burly pros, they are amazing on your feet, still unsure if I want to "test" another pair of $200 boots.
I can't say what's best but do not buy field and stream boots. They make a weird noise after a month or so. I purchased a pair for myself and my nephew and both turned to loud POS before season even started
