You're from LA? Hell I didn't even know they had deer there. You find them on Hollywood Blvd? Just kidding ! Welcome! I would love to visit Louisiana some day just to eat!

I live in Waukesha Co and hunt in Marquette Co (south central WI). High deer density in Marquette Co, few tracts of public land there too if you guys are looking for places to try.

A bit further than I want to drive, but I do like that area. Todd's farm is in Green Lake Co so right next door. Tons of deer up there.

Yeah we basically get unlimited doe tags up there. I see deer pretty much every sit. Good luck to you guys, I'd be real interested to hear how you do.

Extended forecast going into next weekend isn't looking great right now - looks like we could have temps around 80 during the day and only 60's at night. I was hoping for something a little cooler than that! Run and gun with the camera equipment is no fun when you're sweating your nuts off.

I left my camera in the cabin this last weekend. I hated to, but I really didn't think I could handle the added work. I was just hunting in a stand too. Couldn't imagine run and gun in this heat!

Agreed! High 80s here on Opening Day and the days following with a high chance of Thunderstorms.

Still hot here in Ohio, neighbors moved out and the owner of the house they were renting has decided to demo the house and sell the land, I have permission to hunt it already there is a nice established apple orchard there so now I can hunt closer to a good food source. going to put an offer on his 6 acres its fenced and I would then own the whole holler. A friend of mines dad manages a golf course in Columbus where I work and we have permission from the board to bowhunt the golf course. I saw a nice 12 point chasing a doe January or February when I was going to cut up firewood. They have a massive doe population and have been tearing up the greens. Ive seen the 12 point a few times and the 10 point, there are/were several others as well. Might be my best shot at a big one. I work days my wife works nights I can meet here at the golf course have my buddies sister watch little man for an hour or so and maybe get some more time in the stand

21 days until season opens. The deer are hitting the rice bran, corn and protein pellets hard. Bucks should start shedding velvet real soon. Got a little aggravated with my bow yesterday I noticed my first three shots at 40 yds, the arrows were a little off on penetration angles. So after yard work paper tuning is on the agenda today. UGH

Looks like we're in for a hot one this weekend in WI. Supposed to be 84 on Saturday but thankfully it looks like a small front moving through on Sat night/Sun morning will cool things down a bit. Mid 60's by middle of the week but of course we'll be back to work. Have to make the best of it I suppose!

Headed up on Friday afternoon to do a quick power scout and hang a stand for the morning. Should be a fun time if nothing else.

Good luck Justin, I'll be home banking up some points for later in the season. Have some family things the next couple weeks so I'm on the sidelines for now.

That trip out west looked like a lot of fun. I see Dustin saved all the big animals for Levi Morgan though. Two giant mulies for Levi and a pair of great antelope for his camera guys. Did you do something to tick him off :)

Believe me - we've been busting his balls daily about it. When the BHOD team rolls in we get the C level animals. Levi rolls in and gets all the Booners they've been sitting on. Figures! DeCroo won't even respond to our text messages now. He's busy picking the mud out of Levi's boots and cleaning off his arrows for him.
