We have one out hunting as I type up in North Dakota. He only gets one tag so if he uses it, it will be a good one.

Have a couple more in KY set to get out in the next 2 - 2 1/2 weeks for potential velvet bucks.

I won't be getting out until late October or possibly November, barring any freak cold snaps.

So far no movement. Definitely getting the treestand legs back under me in a hurry with 11mph winds and 25mph gusts

Anyone on the team filming their hunts? Ive had a blast the last three years filming from the deer stand and making an annual hunting movie.
I posted my video from last year on the main hunting forum, but give it look if you haven't seen it already.

I'm nowhere near an on cam personality and have zero skills when it comes to putting together a season in 8 minutes.

Had a Sony handicam mounted on my bow for a few seasons, wired remote on the hand gripped with black tape and zip ties, but it worked.

At the time, my first mature buck with a bow. Was grunting at a small buck 2 minutes before this, but watching that footage I now know this was the guy, couldn't see very well through the cedars at the time. He came in a bit aggressive and was almost over before it happened.

Kill shot was a clean view, cam doesn't reflect it. Foul language at the end. This was my 2011 buck posted on page 2.

This picture also shows all the deer I saw tonight. Had a warm front move in yesterday and I think it slowed up movement.

Hunt starts in the morning. Actually going to film a buddy, then going out tomorrow evening to hunt myself with my buddy filming me. Bucks have been moving in the afternoon, so maybe we will fling an arrow!

Good to have ya on the team Marty!

Decent opening day. Went this afternoon and had small 8 come in. He was still in velvet. Came in 13 yards with us in the blind. Try it again tomorrow Lord willing.

Day 2, nothing but a doe. Checked cams and both bucks that I was after already shed their velvet. Here's hunting for ya, the drop time was at my spot at around 6 pm both Thursday and Friday. Last 2 days of hunting, nothing .

    If it was easy.....

What kind of terrain you hunting? Any chance his nose is making it difficult?

They're starting to get back into their reclusive ways once the velvet starts coming off. Sure they stay somewhat grouped up, but I'm guessing it is more of follow the leader until the leader takes a stand.

Could be a simple wind shift needed or maybe a dofferent entry if an option.

Thinking out loud lol, not questioning your methods.

Got a new buck in the heart of the BIG bucks core....pulled this cam out for good but got a nice 2yo standing in almost the same spot as my big buck. I had to put them next to each other, lol.

Truthfully, that could be a father/son capture for the ages. I bet you could post the younger one as a "2016" image and the second on as this yeard and people would agree it was the same deer.
