Only crap. I’m not in my blind, but my buddy is. He just sent me a text that for big bucks are coming towards the blind about 200 yards away. I’m freaking out! I can’t even sit still right now. I hope they get there with enough shooting light.

Dang it! The bucks got hung up feeding in the horse pasture. But the good news is my buddy got out of the blind and back to his truck without them noticing. And we have a little bit better idea of where their bedding.

Oh look! It's the live from the stand thread!

I've been so busy getting my house ready to put on the market that I forgot to sign up for the contest this year. I did sign up on the alternates list, but even if I don't get put on a team I'll still be able to post here from time to time.

Since I'm retiring and this Friday is my last day at work I will have a LOT more time to hunt this season. Unfortunately, I will have to miss the first week of the Kentucky season, but they'll still be in their summer patterns when I get there.

Here's hoping I have a better year than I had last year. :)

I think an even dozen would be a good target number this year.
Believe it or not we actually have very little venison left.

Seriously though, I'm really just hoping for bigger bucks this year. :tu:

Absolute bust. One nub buck on one cam. And my other cam slipped and pointed upwards...no pics. Oh well tracks dont lie. And I saw a bunch and walked new parts of the property.

Dang. I have a love/hate relationship with trail cameras for that very reason.

I hear you. I didn't expect much on one, the other I did....and that one slipped and pointed up. Thats on me. Im not real worried about it. Got in a three mile walk and learned more about the property and the deer trails.

well guys after last years buck I have found a new reason to be motivated to get in the stand. this guy is only 150yds from where I shot the big one last year. I'm hoping to get a good pic of the bigger buck to post. the one pic I do have isn't that good. I'm guessing this buck to be only 4.5yrs old. don't worry I won't be passing on him.

I'd put him at 5 1/2 all day every day.

Put him down and I'll pay for the cementum annuli(save the middle 2 lower incisors) or whatever it is called and we'll know for almost certain

That's a great buck anywhere without a fence.

You going to have ample time in the woods this season? Seen you moved and all, if anyone can put in the foot time and effort, you're one of them.

Good luck this season, long live the boonies. Has served me well.
