Been using plain Jane 3 blade muzzies for 30 years.
Never failed me. Have shot about 50 with them.

I'm assuming black bears? I used 100 gr. Rage Hypodermics on several and have never lost a bear.

Bear are easy to kill of shot correct.
They ALWAYS die within 50 yards ( usally within 30 yards). If double lunged or heart shot.
Been in on about 300 bear kills and willl not allow any expandable head in camp!
I want an entry n exit.
Trailing in the dark ain't fun!, And I've had way too much ( fun) chasing bear shot with expandable heads.

Shot them with old original Snuffers and 3 blade Muzzy. I agree you have to get that exit hole. Too much hair will slow the blood.
Can’t wait to put a Iron Will in one!

I agree about bears being easy to kill. That surprised me when I first started hunting them as opposed to a whitetail. Shot placement is key as it is with any game animal and I had to learn that I needed to aim a little differently for a bear than I would for a whitetail. 300 bear kills is an accomplishment!

I've shot quite a few bears with my trusty NAP Spitfire Maxx. I've never had an issue.
