I look forward to getting to know each of you this season! Other than fantasy football, this is my favorite contest. I live and hunt in Central IL, on a family farm that consistently holds nice deer. This will be my 4th contest I believe. Good luck everyone!

Ridge.. I've done the captain thing already.. I'll let someone else have that pleasure!

Only names I came up with using our team number was:

15 foot up and feeling free

    Lean mean kill'in machine 15

I always saw a crap load of birds out there while whitetail hunting with Ray. Lost quite a few arrows trying to kill one also.

Speaking of birds.. I shot my biggest to date this past spring on the family farm. My kids had a mount done for my birthday present!.

I think it turned out great. Used old barn wood from one of the barns we recently tore down at the family farm.

That looks great. Nice use of the old barn.
We haven't been seeing the 30-40 bird flocks like we used to. Those 30 bird flydowns on October mornings would cause quite a racket. They'll be back some day. It's an eb-and-flow.
Again, congrats on the bird and nice mount.

Any more thoughts on captain of the group? Or a name? If nobody else wants the lead slot I'll take it, but I'd rather not.
Funky bucks? Tines on my side? Stiff shafts? Team 1-5?lol. Idk.

I'm drawing a blank on names. My creative juices just haven't been flowing like in years past. Ridge I know you're not excited about being captain but you have my vote unless you really don't want it.

Meh. It's not that big a deal. I can handle it. Just a heads up tho I suck at judging other people's scores. The rest I can handle unless somebody else is feeling froggie.

I vote ridge as captain as well. I did laugh pretty hard at “Stiff Shafts” as a team name so that gets my vote for now.

Haha Stiff Shafts with Broad Heads. Pretty juvenile but frankly I don't care. Ridge as Captain is fine with me.

I'll give everyone else some time to agree or object. Me as captain and stiff shafts (and broad heads) for a name.

I vote for just Stiff Shafts; not the broadhead part
