So im currently awaiting arrows for my recurve so I can get that back in action. What kind of arrows do yall shoot through your setup? Wood, Aluminum, or Carbon and why do yall choose these arrows?

I've used all of them but use wood primarily. I used aluminum for years and liked them. I gave carbon a try for a number of years but I just couldn't get them to shoot to suit me.. I enjoy making my own arrows and I think that probably
helped to tip the scales in the favor of wood..

I use wood arrows. I like making my own, and they are cheaper too. And if I'm going to be hunting with a recurve/longbow, it just feels right to shoot wood arrows and glue on broadheads.

This will be my first year hunting with a recurve, I’ll be shooting carbon arrows. I’ve never tried wood or aluminum out of it.

Well I hope it works out well for you I never did get a set of recurve arrows. So maybe that should be my next priority. I ended up getting sucked into fishing all off season.

Shooting my handmade Port Orford cedar arrows. Nothing I've tried shoots any better from my Selfie Hickory Stick, Winterhawk Archery and Bear Montana long bows and my Bear Super Kodiak recurve. There's something real special about walking up to an animal with my traditional arrow sticking up at me. Always makes me smile with satisfaction.

Carbon with my 1969 Bear Super Mag (sweet little recurve shown in the picture); carbon with my Bushmen Native American model longbow and wood with my selfbows. In case picture doesn't load it's the same one as my profile pic.
