Oh ok yea the arrow says 300 I had my bow guy re-adjust my drawlength and he did the calculations and that's what he come up with is 265fps
I shoot out of a shop in Chicopee MA called arrowspeed archery. And guess what he’s all about? Yup speed demon. I’m shooting a Darton pro 3000 28.5 in draw 57lbs going 312fps. That’s fast enough to get a speeding ticket!
I have no idea what speed my bow shoots, mostly because it dosen't really matter, lol. I'm guessing around 250fps, give or take a little.
hoo-rah Crimeny; what are you killing- tanks? I'm shooting 255fps. Bowtech Realm; "performance" setting, 70#/30"draw, 30.5 605gr TAW Carbon Express Piledriver 450s. More important than speed is the 87.34 foot pounds of Kinetic Energy and 0.685 slugs of momentum I'm pushing. I'll let you know how fast she's cooking when I get my ~475gr arrows done.
I’m shooting 27.5 inches 74.5lbs and 574 grains 26% FOC at 266 fps Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Yes. The average speed gain/loss is 10 FPS per inch of draw. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Absolutley! Longer the draw, faster the arrow flies!! I`m short, my draw is 27", i`m probably only sending the arrow down range around 275-280 fps, but I have yet to have a deer jump my string. Now that I said that, this year It'll happen all the time!! Lol
I'm about like Gri22ly ,really doesn't matter, ME or speed don't kill deer, hemorrhage does. If an arrow has the potential of a pass thru, good enough for me. My arrows are moving 100 mph plus at my shot range, wouldn't want to be standing in front of that! Never chronoed ... probably around 175 -180, does the job.
260 at a 425 grain arrow with a 27 inch DL and 64 pounds. It kills Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
I have a Mathews Triax, 28'' draw 72 lb, 28.5'' victory 340 at 390 grains, I'm getting speeds 308 to 310.
