52 days till the opener here in New York!! You guys and gals counting the minutes like I am?? Best of luck to everyone this season and most of all be safe!
Same here for Illinois 52 days. I’m chomping at the bit man. These last few weeks of August is time to work out all the final details in the woods. September ill shoot some doves and geese to pass the time and iron out all the little wrinkles in my gear and clothing but for the most part I’m ready.
52 days here in Oklahoma as well! Bow is back from getting a new string and a tune, dialed in tight! Just need to go through my new dozen and slap the broadheads on the true shooters..
I practiced with my hang and hunt set up a little bit in my yard after work today to get back into it. Felt good, now just cant wait to get in a tree with the bow in my hand! Sent from my SM-N950U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Trying not to count down the days because I start losing sleep. Having to trick myself into thinking about other things...
It’s been season here for just over a week. Haven’t had a chance to get to my lease yet. Hoping to go next weekend or the one after
It is exactly one month away from today. Have definitely got the itch to shoot something this year as last year I waited for horns to show and let 9 walk by. That big 10 pointer that was there last year is a now show so far this year so no longer waiting for horns to show up (That's what I named him).
Agreed....more ppl need to do and read what you just said. You should not just throw broadheads on any arrows and head out ppl. Take the time and recon each arrow.
67 more days for me. We have really started working hard on our food plots. This weekend we will be limbing road and around food plot. Slinging arrows every night with my boys can't wait for the opener
Wow bro awesome. Good luck to you. Post your pics of your deer when you harvest one can't wait to see! Chomping at the bit, like we all are! Are the bucks still in velvet down there??
I haven't even seen one, plenty of scrapes around but they seem to be camera shy! There's a lot of standing water on the ground (between 8-15 inches mostly) so its making it a little difficult so ill probably wait a couple of months or until it dries up.
Got that right, Glenn! Hope all is well and best of luck out there this season! Shoot straight and be safe brother!
