  1. Since July 1, ive lost the 2 "target" deer, I assume their summer range changes a bit, perhaps someone can enlighten me a bit on that.. any how, its been a bit depressing not being able to watch them grow, however I did have this guy show up on the southern section of the area I hunt, I have a blind on the north and a second spot on the south of approx. 320 acres.
any chance this deer makes it to 140?

I don't think so to make 140 as an 8 or 9 it has to have mass and tine length.

When were those pictures taken? He looks like he still has some growing to do. Good mass, main frame 10, looks like he'll probably hit 140's.

  4. about 10 days ago.. im in Saskatchewan, all of our photos were at least 14-21 days behind some of those shown in the southern states, I would except at least another 2-3 weeks of growing up here..

Hard to tell as looks like he has aways to grow yet, but I’m thinking he’ll be under 140, just depends how much height he gets on those points.

Like Mpeck2892 said, it depends how much height he gets. But his mass might be enough to get him close to 140. It'll be easier to tell once he sheds his velvet, obviously!

Personally I'd let that guy walk in Saskatchewan. Here in NC I would take the shot though. Difference being with that body in Saskatchewan Im guessing he's a little younger. That same body in NC would fit an older deer. The deer up there just have more bulk. Does that make sense? But I will say this, if you are happy with him drop the string brother! Good luck.

  8. THANKS GUYS..!

  9. I guess im just a bit diasapointed, i had what looked to be two really nice deer come through once july 1, with lots of growing left to do, but since then have vanished off the property

Good mass. Would like to see that guy in a month. I would say 130 to 140.
