Im wanting to put my sight a little further out in front of my bow to get tighter groups and stretch out my distance. Will this change my pin gaps or will i be able to adjust my sight based on my top pin and keep the gaps the same? Sent from my SM-G930P using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I think it would depend on your set up; but everything would change at least a little on your vertical axis. If you're bothering to change your top pin then why wouldn't you make sure everything is lined up? Up and down is easy.
The further your sight is away from the riser your pin gaps will be a little bit smaller however you will notice more movement in your pin so be sure to practice and really perfect your form a little extra movement is NORMAL! Also beware that everything is a lot more touchy and need to be perfect when the sight housing is further away from the riser . Continuing this method can make you more accurate if you keep a consistent form and solid release technique if not then you will suffer most likely . My last point I am going to make is remember that the further away your sight housing is is going to change how your peep (if you shoot a peep I do not so this doesn’t apply to me ) frames the housing you might need to change peep size Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
farther you put your sight out the more sensitive your aiming will get but more accurate. Closer to you the more broad your groupings could be. Depending how well you are shooting with your set up.
