so on one of my facebook hunting groups someone said they are using 'Sevr Broadhead' this year. I've never heard of them but was able to find their website. Wanted to share this along with you guys. Pretty unique design of rear deploying blades giving a 2.1" cut that locks and pivots around bone. Interesting. On the the Nock On podcast with Randy Ulmer, he mentions a company that would be making his new broad head, but he didn’t mention any names. Looks like a good idea, and I think the titanium would be good if it’s not too brittle. I don’t know much about titanium though.

It's a nice looking head but nothing that hasn't been done before. It's virtually a clone of the Rocky Mountain/Readhead Gator & NAP Slingblade. The only real difference is the ability to lock the blades closed for practice and the fact that the blades lock together upon deployment rather than pivot independently. Looks like a nice, high-quality product but nothing revolutionary here. Not that that's such a bad thing. After all, if it ain't broke....
Good looking head. Looks to combine some of the best features of a Slingblade and a Hypodermic. Great; all I needed was ANOTHER broadhead company to throw money at.
my only real concern would be is just how strong is the blade "lock"? If you hit bone hard on entry will it break the lock and then you have basically a Rage practice head flying through the animal with a .75" diameter cut?
Even if the "lock" fails, which I don't think it would due to the design, you're still left with essentially a Slingblade/Gator style broadhead. The force of going through the animal will push the "tabs" back and deploy the blades.
In the market for a new mechanical, so may give these a try. Can’t stand the collar on the Rage’s, and despite the Killzones being a terror on both bucks I shot, the heads were both wrecked without hitting any solid bone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I used this Broadhead to kill my first bow buck... sounds like I’m new to bow hunting but I’ve been hanging around bow hunters for the past ten years...the blood trail was great...perfect lung shot and this deer went no more than 30 yards before crashing. I personally love these Broadheads .. I hit a rib diagonally and it seems the blades pivoted around the bone as advertised. Not a full pass through but sticking out about 3 inches on opposite side of deer... hope this helps! (I shoot a PSE infinity at 27 in draw on 55lbs)
