Deer camp is for friends and family. My deer stand is by and large for me and me alone except I do like to bring my wife up every now and then. I can't wait to see the look on her face when she finally does connect on her first.
I prefer alone but do take the kids sometimes. They are young right now so I usually plan on not seeing much as they have a hard time staying quiet and still. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Like Swamp Stalker said, I would hunt with my Dad every day but he's up in heaven with The Big Man!! Took my oldest daughter 1 time, loved it. My other 2 daughters have zero interest in bowhunting!! So, Im by myself and I absolutely love it!!
I will hunt with my dad and brother any chance I get. My two older boys having been going with me for a couple of years, most of the time. Occasionally, I sent hunt by myself. But for me, most of it right now is getting my boys interested in it.
I generally prefer hunting alone. Then I got my friend on his first deer. Definitely rivals my own kills. Then I got him on his second and realized its only special when I get them on their first.
I enjoy a group in camp, usually 2 to 3 hunters, but head to the woods alone, nice to come back after dark and enjoy stories and comraderie
I prefer with someone but can never find someone to go Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I hunt alone. Nobody in my family or my wife's side of the family hunts. The only time I hunted with someone, I took out my neighbor and his son to try and get his sons first deer. My friends property I hunt hold alot of does and I was pretty sure I could get him close on one. Sure enough our first evening out he shot a doe and after a LONG tracking job, recovered the deer. They both got hooked on hunting that night. A few months later he bought a house with 30+ acres somewhere to hunt and I haven't heard from him since.
You know when I hunt alone, I prefer to be by myself Actually it’s 50/50. I have a couple buddies I like to go with. We have been on the same page for along time and that’s so important
ill enjoy the hunt on my own, however if there is company i will not mind it, if they are into hunting, not party poppers.
I prefer to “go” hunting with a buddy but hunt our own areas. First choice would be to hunt with my son but that seldom happens. In my first 45 years I preferred to hunt alone. Now it’s nice to have someone along.
Usually hunt with the wife, but she is always at least 1/2 mile away, Youngest son and I try to plan a trip somewhere (Kentucky, or MD) each year for a week or so.
I use to always hunt with others for many years but then I started seeing friends taking their friends to my hunting spots. So now I mostly hunt alone. I go where I want, when I want, and leave when I want.
