My Daughter departs for Japan today, Hofu.

She is on a exchange student program for 1 month, she was 1 of 5 students selected to go. She speaks Japanese and has studied the culture a lot. Today will be tough for Dad as she flies on 12 hour flight.

You can breath a sigh of relief now. As a former exchange student, i can vouch, it's a great learning and life opportunity.

I grew up with exchange students one of my best friends my senior year was a guy from Norway, taught the kid all kind of things about american culture how to chew copenhagen, how to shoot a bow and guns and fishing. I let him drive my old 63 rambler he used it on a date and he lost his verginity in that car.

Would be hard to find a 1963 rambler in Japan, you have nothing to worry about.
