Sorry if this has been posted already.

Josh Brolin (Goonies, No Country for Old Men, Sicario), Danny McBride (East Bound and Down, Pineapple Express), and Whitetail Deer Hunting!!

    Oh I'm watching this!

I'll reserve judgment because I enjoy both actors but my guess is it will portray "US" like whitetrash rednecks that should not be taken serious.

See what happens when you film hunts and use your phone from the stands.:poke: Plus the camera man plays the dumbass in every movie he is in, don't get your hopes up.

Well wound up watching it last night and I can tell you in the first 2 min. I was thinking the myself what a **** poor portrayal of hunters for the masses to see. Unfortunately many non hunters will not understand that probably less than.5% of the hunting public is this way. I did watch the whole movie and there is an underlying story of an absentee father connecting with his son but that same message could have been made with a heck of a lot better story line.

I am pretty sure they did not hire a technical advisor to make sure hunting was portrayed accurately.

It had one good line in it about why he liked being out in the woods and hunting. Other than that, kinda lame playing to the stereotypes including the kid.

    The trailer makes me cringe.

Kinda like how I’m a fireman and I can’t watch 911 or Chicago Fire cuz it’s so far removed from the way the job really is.

I’m assuming this movie will be the same.

Watched it...i agree with sota's guess. They deffo didn't have a consultant, and more than likely didn't care to. The name and the actors excited me but it was 90 mins I can't get back

I had saved this on my list, but didn't realize it was a satirical take on things. After watching the trailer and reading the reviews here, I have since removed it...

It's a comedy. I found it funny. I like Danny McBride.

I gave it a shot, I do like Brolin and Mcbride, but I turned it off after 20 minutes. I thought I read somewhere that Brolin was a hunter so I figured it may have had a decent chance of being more accurate, but no, it makes hunters look like dumbchits; Brolin's character does remind me of the 90's style hunting type shows though-which I just cant stand to watch anymore

All the good parts are used for the trailer, the rest of the movie was quite dumb.
