Might as well get this thread going for the year!

No major trips or purchases planned for me this year. Still considering getting 5 dozen Divebomb silos.

Looks like awesome properties!! Do me a favor and bring Oly here and get him on a good field hunt!

Edit: Make sure you and your buddies have the same mindset going into this so you don't burn the place out right away!

Nothing too exciting on my end. I’ll be heading to MI with JPT again at some point.

I will be more mobile this year though. That’s for sure. I have a 10ft pelican bass boat with a 55# trolling motor(pic of similar boat below) that I will be using as a make shift layout boat.. My actual layout blind fits perfectly on it so that will be my go to setup. Everything fits great in the back of my truck. Now it’s just scouting and seeing where I can get the little boat. Once I get everything together I will get a pic to show you guys. [IMG]

I don't have a lot of big plans for this year. I need to re paint some of my decoys. May buy 2 or 3 dozen more if money always. I'm going to re-do my boat blind this year. With tops and a place better for the dog. I post pics when all that starts.
If its the Lords will I'm wanting to take trip somewhere. Idk if it will be AL, West Tn to Kentucky lake,or a trip to the fingers lakes in NY. Either way looking forward to this duck season!

Cayuga Lake is the one I have been watching about. Plus my one of my best buddies has a uncle with a house up there to stay in. I don't know that it will happen. We are wanting to go to Ohio a deer hunt to. I don't know how much vac time I will have.

After a lot of trouble with my stoeger in the fall I sold it, put money away here and there, and recently made a purchase...

Thats big water, and decent hunting. It gets a fair amount of pressure on the north end. It's better in the late season when all the small water is locked up. Good luck if you get up there.

I love the Divebomb silos. They've been really durable and held up well to everything we've used them for. I will be hunting the Niagara, Lake Ontario and my main local areas here at home. I am looking forward to it big time. I will probably get out a few times for September goose, but save my vacation days for the second split.

What is considered late season up there. I have heard to go around the 1st on Jan.

Yep thats late season. Typically it opens up the day after Christmas and run for a couple weeks. I haven't seen the dates yet but that should be pretty close. The weather is always the biggest factor.

Purchased a Roger's Elite XXL Goosebuster blind. So far it looks awesome and is roomy/comfortable. I'm just not too sure how it will be brushing in a mini-bus every morning. This past spring I made an investment into some Sitka waterfowl gear. I am excited to see how it does with the cold weather. My whitetail and big game stuff is (too me) worth the money in comfort, warmth and durability. Anyone else wear it?
