    That's easy, leave it alone. Chances are good that the doe is close by watching you. At least in my experience.

    Pretty much common sense to just leave it alone then again people believe a bird can smell and will reject a baby bird that was touched by a human.

    And smack the stupid out of the people who think it is abandoned and try to take to a vet, animal shelter, or home.

    If its laying in the middle of a road like the one in the picture I would probably pick it up and move it off the road though.
