has anyone ever taken there equipment to SCHEELS for there pro shop? I have been shooting more regular here lately and I noticed at my peep is starting to rotate in my string and is almost completely turned around in the string. Went to my local shop last week and asked about getting a twist added or taken out to straighten the peep out but all he said I could do was use my fingers and twist it which I have been doing and starting to get a little annoyed doing that. So I have a SCHEELS that is about two hours from me but I would just like to know if anyone has ever had any work done there before i drive there for work that isn’t reliable.
The one I will be going to has been open for a few years now but I have just never made it there but now I am going to make a special trip there and get my peep fixed and check my tune on everything
Same here but the one I bought my triax from showed no interest in trying to help me out. Just told me I have to twist it every time. And for those who know a little more about this I can have a twist added or taken out correct?
any shop is only as good as the guy handling your bow. i have had guys at scheels that im pretty sure dont even shoot a bow, then there are acouple guys that are good at what they do. hit and miss at that type of store.
I can't speak for the bow shop in Scheels, but I would expect the service be similar to any other box stores. Basic bow setup and adding a twist shouldn't be outside of their wheelhouse, but I'd be looking for a different Mathews authorized dealer. Too bad your dealer apparently only cares about the sale and not the after sales service. I'd suggest reaching out to Mathews and letting them know your issue with that dealer.

While I haven't used Scheels to work on my bow, I've been in a few and talked with some of they guys in the bow tech dept and they seemed to know their stuff. The feeling I got was always that the guys at Scheels know more and were trained better than most of the box stores you're used to. Like others have said - it's more about the guy doing the work than the store itself. Plenty of "pro shops" with so-so bow techs working in them and I'm sure there's a few good bow techs working at Scheels. Whoever told you to just keep twisting your peep back into place is not one of those good bow techs.

Found a shop within minutes of me that has great reviews but the only problem is they don’t sell Mathews. I got in touch with them and they are very willing to help. Would you trust a shop to work on it if they didn’t sell Mathews?
I've been a fan of small start up bow makers and after a little bit of trying the local shops, I found one that is a long hour away but they are fantastic and will work on any breed for their shop rate. Ask around and see what others think of them and try them and see what they say.
