I just accepted a job offer in the Fort Collins Co. area. I found the archery range and a couple of archery shops on a visit a couple of weeks ago. Looks as the move will be Sept - Oct. time frame. Any advice would be appreciated. Neighborhoods, utility cost, hunting license, fishing, completely new area to me. I have lived in Southern Ca. For 40 years. Excited for the outdoors and open spaces. Here we go!

Pretty arid area but you can get to the mountains fast enough.

Ya I was surprised only 2” more rain on average than southern Ca. They actually pump most of their water from the west side of the Rockies.

30 minutes to the entry of Rocky Mountain National Park. 36 miles to Wyoming border. I drove to Cheyenne. Saw about 150 antelope on the drive up and back. About 10 mule deer and 50 buffalo ( domesticated they had tags in their ears) pretty cool country compared to the city here in LA. I’m pretty charged.

We stayed in Loveland a couple years ago for the Colorado Sparkler softball tournament. Loveland was a nice area, I liked it more than Ft. Collins personally. Certainly a great area to live for the outdoor enthusiast.

Welcome to Colorado! Rocky Mountain Archery is a great shop for all your archery needs. There are definitely plenty of pronghorn to be seen between Ft. Collins and Cheyenne. Hopefully you can get out this fall and chase some animals.

Thanks for the welcome! I have been out of touch for a while. Traveling to and from Fort Collins. All work related! Fly in n Sunday work three 12 hr days and fly back to Cali with a list of things to do. Yes I did visit Rocky Mtn Archery. The folks there were really nice and welcoming. We are still a good 6 months from the actual move. I am pretty excited.
    Thanks again.

Wife and I have looked at a few homes in Loveland. Really nice area. Fort Collins is a lot more congested. Thinking because of the college hustle and bustle.
