Hey guys! I would like to hear some of your stories if you ever had injuries while looking for some white gold. Reason I’m asking this is because last weekend I was out looking for some sheds, and ended up tripping on a stick. Well to my surprise I ended fracturing my radial head in my elbow and just had surgery yesterday to fix this. On the bright side I did end up finding my match to one of my sheds on the walk of shame back to the pickup. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Couple minor twisted ankles but nothing serious. 1) Good looking pup! 2) Nice matched set! 3) What kind of box blind is that?
Hope you heal up soon. Great looking pup and congrats on the matching set. No injuries yet but I probably just cursed myself.
No but I know one guy that stepped on one that went through his shoe and killed him by piecing his carotid artery....it was a big shed.
Like....yeah totally. I think his name started with a "b". It was like boner or brainy or boomer...maybe boober, I can't recall exactly. He killed a lot of big bucks though....guess they finally got their revenge on the murdering bastard.
Thank you! I’m trying to start her on sheds and so far she has been doing great for a 8 month old. The fiberglass box was actually a oil field pump shelter that I converted over. The windows are from deer view. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Hopefully you manage to avoid mange. Boomer nearly died because his property is literally covered in sheds. He has to wear Kevlar lined steel toeds just to check his trail cams.
I had a Siberian Husky who loved to hunt sheds back in 2000. She watched me pick up one she'd, sniffed it and started hauling them to me. Great mushroom dog too! She was also very friendly. Therefore, someone stole her. Still miss that old girl. Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Poked with sticks, thorns in the hand and few bruises but nothing more for me. Leo on the other hand has a couple big gashes on his stomach from barbed wire. One gash goes the length of his stomach but none have slowed him down.
Thanks! I should be fully recovered in 3 months just in time to practice for upcoming season! Let’s hope you stay injury free out there! Sent from my iPad using Bowhunting.com Forums
Pretty sure my hand is broken from shed hunting with my 3 year old. She tripped and headbutted the back of my hand. It's been a month and my hand still hurts like crazy. She did find her first shed though!
