As much as I would love to get KUIU or Sitka, I just can't seem to pull the trigger on that expensive of hunting gear. What is the best hunting clothing out there that doesn't break the bank? I've been looking at some Under Armor but there has to be other options out there.

Bowhunting whitetail mainly. I hunt in Texas usually from a blind so I'm not moving around much. On a freezing cold day, it can get pretty cold sitting still for 2 hours. Also, I'm just wondering about hunting clothing brands in general Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
In thst case, start with the merino base layers. Outer layers, I'd recommend: 1) First Lite Sanctuary System (maybe substitute Woodbury jacket for Sanctuary jacket) 2) Sitka Fanatic System 3) Cabelas Windshear Wooltimate system. Unfortunately this may be phased out now due to Bass Pro takeover. The Cabelas is the best value but heavier and bulkier. Sitka likely the most expensive but you can find hood used stuff on classifieds. I've tried tops and bottoms in both and liked both in different ways. Personally I've settled on First Lite for Midwest Whitetails, sitting in a Treestand on a cold November day from 40 deg down to the windy teens. Got most my stuff on sale and was money well spent. I wear the Sanctuary bibs and Woodbury jacket with varying mid layers depending on conditions. My head and feet require different solutions and that's a whole 'nother discussion. Cabela's brand... especially if you can find them on sale. They have worked well for me and have great warrantee/return policies.

First Lite had some great clearance sales, not sure if they are over yet. Last I checked their website still had ASAT stuff 40% off. Their new 2018 line just came out this week, no discounts on that. Hi guys new to the site here, but I've been hunting for many years Rifle and Bow, I recently purchased some Bad Lands gear, Pants, Jacket, shirt, and I absolutely love it. The winter gets pretty dang cold here in Montana, and so does September, and this gear is awesome, keeps me warm in the mornings, and breathes great when walking the mountains. I have the approach camo, and it blends real well with our surroundings. I always use wool for the rifle season, but that's when its below zero. The Bad Lands warranty is the best around, and the price is not too bad. Just my 2 cents!!

Best bang for your buck would be cabelas gear. Like others said, windshear and wooltimate, but left out MT050. I'm in WI so I know cold weather hunting and the stuff works. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk
ive got cabelas brand insulated baselayer, then a merino wool pull over then wear cabelas lookout fleece if its really cold i just layer fleece under jacket you dont have to spend a ton of money to stay warm. be better off not smelling!
Check out predator camo it has done nothing but good to me. Been using it for 3 years now and I spot and stalk does in crp. It’s works great. Brown deception or fall grey
I own Scent Blocker, Under Armor, Cabela’s and Sitka. Hands down, the Sitka is more versatile and lasts longer than anything else I own. It is gear not just “camo”. The cost will be offset in the long run. I also have heartache about buying it, but I you look around you can find it at a reasonable price.
