Pretty excited as a Twins fan it has been a while since the team went all in to improve. I just hope they can get past the damn Yankees.
It pleases me that you at least like the Twins. I love baseball... Almost more than football. Can't wait for the season to start.
There was a period when my son would not watch a Twins game on TV with me he claimed I was too critical about too much, Gardy drove me nuts. I love baseball, when I go to a game I get in as soon as I can just to watch players warm up. Sucks that teams keep fans out you used to get in to watch batting practice back in the day.
Brewers fan here and similarly excited. Hoping the regression bug doesn't hit too many players and wish Braun would just find his way off the team, but that isn't going to happen. They would be much easier to root for. Can't say I have anything against the Twins though and would love to make it to a game in their park soon. Hoping to take my 2 boys (4 and 7) to a few games this year.
sorry I hate to watch baseball---the pitcher gets the ball--scratches his nuts-- wipes his forehead, struts around the mound, stares at batter for awhile, digs in the dirt a little, finally throws the ball, the catcher catches the ball, looks at the ball, throws it back to the pitcher---after awhile the coach comes out, talks to pitcher, the rest of the team nods off, then it all starts over. must not be just me--look in the stands everyone is watching their smart phones, not the game ! think I,ll take a nap !!
I think baseball gets it more now and is seriously working on pace of play there is no reason a ball game should take over 3 hours.
It, like bowhunting, is a game of patience. It's also a lot more 1 on 1 than any other sport in my opinion. I like it because it is a game I can choose to pay as much attention to as I want. It's perfect to have on in the background as I grill in the summer or am working on some project around the house. I enjoy listening while I mow the lawn as well.
Love it. My favorite sport by far. There's baseball season, the baseball/football overlap season, football season, and the terrible void between the Super Bowl and Spring Training Red Sox fan here. Hoping we see the pre-2017 Stanton, and that Judge comes down off that first season. AL East will be lopsided I fear.
Not a fan, never was and never will be. Most boring thing on TV next to the 3 Old Maids show. More fun to play tiddly winks with man hole covers.
Baseball is like hockey when you see it live it is much better than what you see on TV. I will say I listen to many more games than I watch. The Twins were on an FM station in the past and I didn't care for it as much. Baseball should be listened to on an am transistor radio.
Indians fan. When I was a kid I didn't care for baseball. Once I learned a few things about the game It really grew on me. If it weren't for baseball I wouldn't even own a TV. We try to catch a few games a year and try to travel to a different park every year if we can.
Not sure that is possible. If you were a fan when Calvin owned the team you would appreciate the Pohlads.
Hell I lose sleep at night worried about my son who lives in Minneapolis and has become a city mouse, his long time girlfriend is a viking fan and I am very concerned that at age 21 and the influence around him that he no longer hates the Minnesota vikings enough.
The void would suck if it wasn't for SU lacrosse and march madness. Yankees fan here. Excited to say the least. Stanton will be Stanton. There's no way around that. Judge? I don't believe in the sophomore slump. Dude is a beast. However, same old Yankee story. Pretty lineup with next to no starting pitching.
