Anti rant post. Looks like my county is going to finally give the Police and Fire/Rescue Personnel a raise that will put them on equal footing with their regional counterparts. Many Police and Fire personnel will be living a lot better by next summer. We have had a terrible exodus of staff because of the lack of compensation to professionals. This is great news. Fire personnel are moving to a different schedule involving less staff yet much better pay. Very happy for them.
They are the WORST!!! You have to fit into their life style. Don't ever say "this is how we did it in XXXX" At least you aren't from Jersey. They just LOVE people from Jersey. NOT!!!!
No where I intend to live is a private area, not a condo It is I have been there but it is a segregated city. I was down there early 2000's doing some work at the landfill. Lunchtime I went to the convenience store to grab some water and food. I was walking in the store and there was a woman walking behind me I opened the door and held it while the woman walked in. A man behind her walked up and I continued to hold the door for him because he was my elder. He stopped and said to me I don't know how it is where you are from but down here n words are still n words and you do not hold a door for an n word. I was so taken back by the comment I had no reply and that has happened few times in my life.
Just got the Bond proposal for the public school my wife works at for Safety upgrade. Looking at Single point of entry, secured Camera system Replacing windows so students can evacuate Country officer and each school(5 total) Patrolling parking lots(extra staff) I bet the vote goes down in flames here.
Just playing devils advocate but what good is the bullet proof door if there are ground level windows? Those need to be bullet proof too. As a parent, I would want those two items before any of the others.
Back to general rants: It really pisses me off to no end when you place an item on something like Craigslist for sale and someone texts you about it, negotiates the price down, agrees to take said item with pick up the following morning....following morning no text, text them and still no reply so text them again complaining about the situation because I'm waiting around for them and still no reply text. Seriously....? If you agree to buy an item and decide you don't want it or something better came along...at least have the common courtesy of letting the owner know you're no longer interested. Sometimes people really suck. Edit* Update...finally heard back from the buyer, still interested just had to have help from someone with a truck and didn't bother to text until almost noon! Oh well...still I know this happens all the time, happened to me last year trying to buy an item in arkansas...seller in that case just stopped communication after I agreed to the purchase. So annoying.

Who categorized rants? Only reason I said back to general rants was to separate mine from the ongoing stuff previously posted. You guys are free to carry on as you were.

Or when they say “ok yea if it works $500 sounds good” then you drive 20min to meet them and they say “will you take $450 that’s all I can do” NO! I will not take $450 I will turn around and lose the sale because we already AGREED on price. Rude/stupid people in hotels in the early morning. I am in Colorado this week never got used to the time change so I am up and awake at 4 am. People leaving their rooms early in the morning letting their door slam on the way out, be self aware and try consideration once, don't let the door slam. Another hotel rant, why does the in room coffee suck so bad, even if the bag says starbucks the coffee sucks. I tried it this morning because they had the little tubs of 1/2 and 1/2 and it still sucked. The breakfast in the lobby didn't start till 6 am and I was impatient, then once again disappointed.
The coffee maker needs to be cleaned every now and then. Or they bought some Chinese knock off coffee
