So has anybody had any success with the time lapse mode on them?

I haven’t had much luck with mine in picture mode lol. It’s the commmand Ops model and may not even have time lapse mode, but I haven’t been impressed with the pics. My WGI cloak 7 takes better pics

I’m not to impressed with either of mine up to this point. I have two different models and neither of them work properly. One of them I’m sending in for warranty work. I can’t remember which models I have but I think one of them is the recon. I sure had high hopes for these cameras.

I have two of the Strike Force, neither of which I have ever used in the time-lapse mode. But I am completely satisfied with their performance so far.

I have two spec ops extreme cams. Awesome videos. Never tried time lapse but I do use the battery pack from browning. They last a long time. I just bought the new browning dark ops with the dual lens. It will be going back. Not worth the price. Nothing special about that one.

I run 5 Strike force elites on Time Lapse mode from Jul-Oct every year. They work great, I have only had minor issue with them. Additionally, the customer service at Browning is great. The only down fall is the time lapse drains the batteries pretty quick. I change the batteries out Mid August and then again at the beginning of Oct. But overall I love you the browning trail cams, in total I have 25 out year round.

25 cameras that is a lot of batteries! I emailed Browning and they do not recommend using a solar panel on Browning Trail Cameras. I did watch an interesting YouTube video of a guy hooking up a solar panel to his Browning Cam at it looks promising but I am afraid to try it. He used an 12v regulator and 12v Solar panel and wired it up using correct plug to the 12v plug on camera.

Why didn’t you like the dual lens?

Have you tried the 4K Camera Browning is releasing? I think I seen they were going to release a 4K

You are telling me it is a lot of batteries...my wife watches them at COSTCO and gets them whenever they come on sale. For the cameras that are not in time lapse or video mode, I usually get around 10 months of battery life with Duracell's. So it is not as bad as it is could be.

Not going to get the Browning 4k model. It's not black flash. The new dark ops is nothing special. The videos on mine are 1080p at 60 fps but my spec ops extreme at the same setting is way better. The new one looks like 720p imo. And it cost 220 dollars. I can get another spec ops extreme or stealth ds4k 50 buck cheaper. And there videos are much better.

So did the daytime picture quality show any improvements over last year's dark opps. Would think it will be better with a lens just for daytime use. Same for nighttime pics.

Yes better but the colors are not as vibrant in the day. Not much difference at night but better than last years.

Yeah I'm not sure what else I want to try out this year. It's hard to beat the Browning spec ops extreme and the Stealth ds4k. I may try the 2018 spec ops advantage. Hope the night videos are a little better. I think I will wait and let some others try out the hawk first.

I sent an e-mail to Browning and was told they do not support solar panels and the use of one would void the warranty. Only issue I ever had was using a high speed SD card in the lower end models. I find the cheaper SD cards actually perform better.

I’m bringing this back to life lol... so I moved into a new house before I got to send that camera in, needless to say, I just found it. I’m going to send it to them tomorrow. As far as pictures go, these definitely take great pics. I was just hoping the time lapse would save me from buying a 6 day plot watcher. If time lapse don’t work out, I’m still keeping these out and using them as regular cameras. Thanks for the input guys!
