This is one the lemmings on either side do not get, but being we are so far entrenched in "our side" I have little hope. Mr. Reese express my views perfectly.

One of my grandfathers old sayings is

" the politicians motto is serve self first, then self second. If there is any left over then self again"
I think at the end of the day we can all agree that most of the people we have in there care only about their own interests. It is all one big Uniparty for the most part.

That the first thing. Then get big money and special interest/lobbyist out of it. Also need to enact real camping finance reform. But none of that will ever happen. The plebes in this country are governed by prostitutes.

None of the things listed in the OP are things most politicians actually care about. But, they make it their job to convince the public that WE should care about them. Otherwise they would have nothing to campaign on. Personally I couldnt care less about our national debt. We've had it since the second our constitution was signed. It's never going away. Ever. As far as term limits go I think those should apply to members of the senate, the house, and judges.

I think the President was being painfully honest and the fake up roar is so predictable.

I am coming to believe that both parties are equally as bad. The majority of politicians have as their job priority getting re-elected not in doing what is correct and right for the constituents that actually elect them. It is only when the goal of getting re-elected is aligned with constituent needs when they even consider that. Both parties are equally bad concerning this whether at the local level or the national level every politician is infected by that. Standing upon principle and why people elect you is sadly not being done. I too believe term limits need to happen and have thought that for many years but the elected officials will never ever pass laws doing this because it conflicts with their first priority.

Not something a sitting US President should be saying though. And the people defending him saying it are as big of a p.o.s. as he is.

So when Obama called Mitt Romney a bull ****ter, no big deal, Joe Biden no big deal. People who are offended have a very selective memory.

BS calling people with a differing opinion a POS is way more lemming than pointing out other presidents that have said hurtful curse words. Wisco went Amy Schumer on it and that is so predictable. Your feelings of being enlightened calling people lemmings is very predictable as well.

I find it more funny the previous 6 months when immigration from these countries was talked about the left kept saying how bad these places were and now that Trunp said they were ****holes, in a closed door meeting mind you, they all act like they're Disney world and great places to be.

Lets be honest these are ****holes, just like parts of this country are. If words offend you then toughen up, is there a difference calling it a 3rd world country? Means same thing. Hell during the election half the country got called deplorable, meaning dumbasses, stupid, or whatever. All means same thing. Sticks and stones ppl, if you dont think any of these ppl in politics don't act or say things differently when the cameras are off your fooling yourself, I'd rather listen to someone say what they acrually think or feel then dance around it and say something negative with a smile on their face. If you really want to know why, politicsl correctness is a big reason Trump is sitting on the oval office. I'm more offended the last administration made how many threats or lines not to cross to Iran, Syria, N. Korea, and Russia and never following through looking weak then the POTUS calling a place a ****hole.
